It was Mark's birthday yesterday!! Happy 31st!! I know I am a day late but blogging did not fit into my schedule yesterday. I made a cake on Sunday for him and Tali was so excited to light the candles that we celebrated on Sunday when he got home from work. Me and the girls took some balloons and dinner to him at work last night and surprised him. I just wanted to let him know how much we love him and thank him for everything he does for us. You are a GREAT daddy!

New Years in New Orleans!!!
What could be better than spending New Years in New Orleans???????? Utah winning the Sugar Bowl!!!!! Thats right!! I surprised Mark for Christmas with tickets to the Sugar Bowl. We left Salt Lake on the 31st and just got back home yesterday. I can't even begin to describe in words what it was like. Those who have been to New Orleans, you know what I am talking about. We had so much fun and coming home with such a GREAT win made it all the better. We were able to stay at the Marriott which is where the team stayed and many other Ute fans. The atmosphere was complete craziness, I wouldn't have had it any other way. We had a hard time leaving the girls behind but they had so much fun spending time in Fillmore with Grandma & Grandpa and all their cousins. Mark and I took a Hurricane Katrina tour and the city of New Orleans tour. It was so sad to still see such devastion caused by all the flooding their. We took so many pictures and I am so glad we did, who knows when we will be able to get back there. We spent New Years Eve on Bourbon Street which was fun, but a little to crowded for us. We were just a few blocks from the Mississippi River, we walked along the riverwalk and did some great shopping. I can't even begin to describe how good the food was there, if you love seafood & po-boys New Orleans is the place for you.
Now about the Alabama fans...... first there were about 50 Alabama fans to 1 Utah fan. They didn't want anything to do with Utah. They thought they had the game in the bag. Little did they know that Utah was there to win. They were arrogant, rude, & never had anything worth listening to coming from their mouths. We are so glad we were there to experience the game live and see all the Bama fans leaving early!!! What a great way to start a new year. Here a a few pictures I will add more in a slide show.

Santa made his way to our house this year! Tali was so excited to see what he had left for her. Christmas morning once Tali woke up Mark said to her "Tali guess who came last night" Tali replies "GRANDMA"! She wasn't sure what to think once she got to the family room to see her new stuff! Kenya loved whatever she could put in her mouth! We had a great Christmas. We are blessed to have two healthy girls that make it all worth it!Tali & Kenya in their new Christmas jammies!
