Look at my Baby

Tali and Kenya play so cute together. Kenya is at such a fun age. She is rolling all over the place and soon will be crawling. Tali loves to push her in the stroller outside. One day while playing inside Tali decided to give Kenya a ride in the stroller only this time the stroller is the one for her babies. Kenya is a little too big for it and Tali was having a hard time pushing her! Look at my baby Mom!

Good Friends, Good Food, & Alicia Keys!!

Thursday Night, Mark and I went out with our good friends T & Niki. We started off with dinner at The Roof. It was delicious. After dinner we headed over to Abravanel Hall for the Alicia Keys concert. The concert was amazing, Alicia Keys put on a fabulous concert. This was Mark and I's second date with no kids!! Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Crosland for driving up and staying with Tali and Kenya while we had a fun night.

Fun at the Park

With Fall soon approaching, we are trying our best to enjoy every nice day we have left to be outside. Tali loves the park. Whenever we drive past a park and she sees the playground she will start saying "Mamma I want to play on the swings." This does not stop until you can completely convince her that you will take her later that SAME day. So a few days ago I took my camera along (which I don't do very often) and snapped a few pictures at the park. My sister Melissa and her daugher Kadee came with us. We had a great time until it was time to go then of course Tali starts throwing a fit because she doesn't want to leave. Kenya is at such a fun age and she loves to be outside also. She loved the swing as you can tell from the pictures.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend in Midway. We were there with all of my family except Grandpa who is in Oregon on a fire. Dad came up Saturday night after Uncle Dee's wedding was over. We had fun spending time together as a family. We stayed at the cottages which was excellent. We had a 6 bedroom/6 bath house. It was big enough for everyone to have their own space, and a nice theatre room in the basement. Friday we just stayed at the house and hung out together. Saturday we were off to Swiss Days. We spent the majority of the day roaming around at the park looking at all the cute stuff, if I was more prepared I would have been able to get some more things for Christmas gifts!! Sunday we spent the day in Park City. We started off stoping in to see Unlce Rex and Aunt Phyllis. Then we headed into town they had a festival going on down old Main Street...lots of booths and bands playing. Then we headed over to the Alpine Slide. I took Tali down it while Mark waited with Kenya at the bottom. Tali fell asleep on the way to the top on the chair lift, but once we got on the slide she loved it!! Monday we headed for home. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the wonderful weekend.

A trip to the ZOO!!

On Saturday we went to the zoo with Mark's family.....thanks to Uncle Jay. He planned a surprise birthday party for his wife, Aunty Ame. We met at grandma & grandpa's house Saturday morning for breakfast and to surprise Aunty. From there we traveled to the zoo for a day of fun. Uncle Jay treated everyone for the whole day from the entrance fee, and lunch to rides on the train and carousel. Tali and Kenya had a blast! We had just been to the zoo in June and Kenya slept most of the day, this trip she was awake more and enjoyed riding in the stroller looking at everything. Thanks Uncle Jay for a FUN day!!Dad & Kenya on the carousel

BUBBLES...BUBBLES...everywhere

Tali got a bubble blower for her first birthday....I know a year ago! Well I put it in her closet and forgot about it. I was rearranging her closet the other day and found it. Today Mark decided to get it out and put batteries in it. It started with Tali and Mark outside playing with it then it ended up in the house. I can't believe how well it works...but after a few times we decided it needed to be an outside toy only. No more bubbles in the house! Kenya concentrating on trying to catch bubbles!!

Sisters....Getting Big!!

These last couple of weeks I have taken Tali & Kenya in for their Well Child Checks. Both of them are growing and developing very well. Kenya is sitting up and rolling over all over the place. She loves it when Tali plays and talks to her....Kenya's face just lights up!! Tali is out of control!! A typical two year old I am guessing. She says the funniest things and everything is hers. She does not like sharing anything with anyone. She is starting to use the bathroom on the toilet.....we are so proud of her! Here are their stats from their appointments:

Tali~ Weight = 25 lbs & 15 ozs ~ Height = 33 inches

Keyna~ Weight = 20 lbs & 6 ozs ~ Height = 27 1/2 inches

I know....Kenya is almost as big as Tali.....eventhough Tali is 18 months older!

Tali's Birthday Party

Tali is turning 2 on July 29th! I can't believe that two years have already gone by. It just seems like yesterday when I found out I was FINALLY pregnant with her. She is such a sweet spirit and we don't know what we would ever do without her. These past few days while she was in Fillmore, Mark and I couldn't wait for her to come back home. It was a nice little break but we sure did miss her. There is never a dull moment and she is learning to say new things everyday. Here are just a few of her favorite things to say:
Mama do it...she says this everytime Mark tries to do something for her!!
NO
I don't want it
Juice Please
I POO
Hi Sister
Thats Mine
It is so much fun to see her interact with Kenya. Now that Kenya is a little older, Tali is starting to have more fun with her. Tali will lay on the floor by her and just talk to her....Kenya loves it.
We had a birthday party/BBQ for her on Saturday. She had a great time with all her cousins. We got her a toddler bed and she loves it, she got lots of other great gifts from the family. The kids loved playing in her new sandbox and then rinsing off in the pool. We could have made a sandcastle with how much sand ended up in the pool! We had lots of good food and good fun.

Is Turning 30 a Milestone????

Thats right today is the day....I turned 30!! I had a fun day spending time with Mark. Since Tali is in Fillmore, we asked Mark's mom to watch Kenya for a few hours. We have only been out, just the two of us, one other time since we had Tali. Where we go the girls go! We weren't sure what to do when we didn't have little ones in the car with us. We decided to go to the movies, we went and seen Hancock. After the movies we did some shopping & then went to get Kenya. Later in the evening we went to dinner....yes Kenya came with us! I have to say though the best it yet to come.....for my birthday Mark got me tickets to go see Alicia Keys in September, I can't wait. If anyone asks I am still going to say that I am 29!!!!

Polynesian Fest 2008!!

Mark's sister got us some free tickets to the Polynesian Fest...Reggae Concert thanks Lupi. Mark ended up having to work so I took Kenya (Tali is still in Fillmore with Grandma & Grandpa) and went with our friends the Pelas. It was at the Sandy Amphitheatre, which worked out perfect since Mark works right across the street at Alta View Hospital he was able to meet up with us when he got off. We had a blast and the bands were great. We got to see the Jets, Katchafire and many others.

A New Sandbox

Earlier this week Grandpa and Grandma Crosland came up and stayed with us for a few days. While they were here my dad built Tali a sandbox for her birthday which is next week, she loves it & she is so spoiled. They brought Tali's cousin Hailey with them, to play for a few days. When they left on Tuesday they took Tali with them to Fillmore, she will be back on Saturday. It is so quiet around here without her, I can't wait for her to come back home. Mark and I have a few things to finish up in the back corner... I will post the completed pictures soon!
