Tali's Birthday Party

Tali is turning 2 on July 29th! I can't believe that two years have already gone by. It just seems like yesterday when I found out I was FINALLY pregnant with her. She is such a sweet spirit and we don't know what we would ever do without her. These past few days while she was in Fillmore, Mark and I couldn't wait for her to come back home. It was a nice little break but we sure did miss her. There is never a dull moment and she is learning to say new things everyday. Here are just a few of her favorite things to say:
Mama do it...she says this everytime Mark tries to do something for her!!
NO
I don't want it
Juice Please
I POO
Hi Sister
Thats Mine
It is so much fun to see her interact with Kenya. Now that Kenya is a little older, Tali is starting to have more fun with her. Tali will lay on the floor by her and just talk to her....Kenya loves it.
We had a birthday party/BBQ for her on Saturday. She had a great time with all her cousins. We got her a toddler bed and she loves it, she got lots of other great gifts from the family. The kids loved playing in her new sandbox and then rinsing off in the pool. We could have made a sandcastle with how much sand ended up in the pool! We had lots of good food and good fun.

Is Turning 30 a Milestone????

Thats right today is the day....I turned 30!! I had a fun day spending time with Mark. Since Tali is in Fillmore, we asked Mark's mom to watch Kenya for a few hours. We have only been out, just the two of us, one other time since we had Tali. Where we go the girls go! We weren't sure what to do when we didn't have little ones in the car with us. We decided to go to the movies, we went and seen Hancock. After the movies we did some shopping & then went to get Kenya. Later in the evening we went to dinner....yes Kenya came with us! I have to say though the best it yet to come.....for my birthday Mark got me tickets to go see Alicia Keys in September, I can't wait. If anyone asks I am still going to say that I am 29!!!!

Polynesian Fest 2008!!

Mark's sister got us some free tickets to the Polynesian Fest...Reggae Concert thanks Lupi. Mark ended up having to work so I took Kenya (Tali is still in Fillmore with Grandma & Grandpa) and went with our friends the Pelas. It was at the Sandy Amphitheatre, which worked out perfect since Mark works right across the street at Alta View Hospital he was able to meet up with us when he got off. We had a blast and the bands were great. We got to see the Jets, Katchafire and many others.

A New Sandbox

Earlier this week Grandpa and Grandma Crosland came up and stayed with us for a few days. While they were here my dad built Tali a sandbox for her birthday which is next week, she loves it & she is so spoiled. They brought Tali's cousin Hailey with them, to play for a few days. When they left on Tuesday they took Tali with them to Fillmore, she will be back on Saturday. It is so quiet around here without her, I can't wait for her to come back home. Mark and I have a few things to finish up in the back corner... I will post the completed pictures soon!

Silver Lake

Silver Lake is one of my favorite places...it is so beautiful. When Mark and I were first married....without any kids we would go to Silver Lake at least once a week during the summers. We had decided to go hiking with our good friends the Pelas to Ensign Peak, but since we couldn't take strollers we decided to go to Silver Lake for the evening. It is still just as beautiful and we had so much fun with our friends.

Making something you can't eat!!

My niece Taylor came to visit us for a few days. She spent one night with us and the other night at my sister's house. She is so fun to be around and always needs to be doing something. One of her most favorite things to do is to "Make something you can't eat." She has been doing this for as long as I can remember. She just adds all sorts of ingredients and mixes them up, sometimes she tries to bake it! Her and Tali had a blast mixing things together.

Camping at Maple Grove

This past weekend we went camping with my family at one of my favorite places....Maple Grove! We had a great time and Tali loved every minute of it. I can't believe how dirty she was at the end of the day. Kenya had a great time also, she took really good naps and kept her sleeping habits the same, she stayed asleep all night. We had 5 kids under the age of 3.....it was fun and a little noisy at times when they all seemed to be ready for naps! We only had to make one trip to the hospital when Hailey fell off of the top of one of the strollers and cut open her head. She will be fine, she is just going to have a nice little scar right in the middle of her forehead. One night while Grandpa was pushing Tali in the buggy for a little walk he came across a rattlesnake. He came back to camp for a shovel and ended up killing the snake. Mark went back with a few others and they skinned the snake and then cooked it and ate it....I know it doesn't sound to appealing. I didn't eat any but those that did say it was soooo good. The fishing was fun, we were able to cook some fish one night for dinner. As the trip was coming to an end I was wishing we could stay longer, but once we got home I was so glad I could take a nice HOT shower. We can't wait for next years camping trip!!

Seven Peaks

Yesterday I took the girls to Seven Peaks water park. We met the rest of my family there and had a blast. Mark had to work so he missed out on all the fun and we missed having him there with us. Tali and Kenya loved it. Kenya liked the lazy river the best, she was so content and she even fell asleep while going around. Tali loved the water as long as is didn't get in her eyes. Everytime someone would splash her she would start yelling "my eyes my eyes"...like they were going to fall off or something! I took a little break to feed Kenya and Tali wanted to be in the tube so my brother-in-law decided to take her down one of the big slides on a tube....well she loved it. Thank goodness it closed or we would probably still be there going down the slides. After we got kicked out we went to dinner with the family. We always have such a good time hanging out together.

Summer Fun!

We have been having so much fun this summer....where do I begin. Tali is almost two and she loves new adventures and anything that has to do with being outside. We have gone to free lunch at the park, swimming at both the Magna Rec Center and West Valley Rec Center, free movies at the theatre, dollar movies in Taylorsville, Mark has taken Tali fishing...which ended up as a swimming trip to the lake, fireworks at the Westfest, and carnival and fireworks at Magna days. Kenya is such a good little trooper. I hope that the rest of our summer is just as fun. I have put together a slide show with pictures from the fishing trip and also the carnival.
